Small groups are an integral part of our ministry.
Students from all walks of life have found a place where they are accepted as they are while also being challenged to grow in their discipleship. Many longtime believers and seekers alike come away from their small groups not only with a deeper understanding of faith but having made close friends for the journey ahead. Some groups study scripture, some discuss a book, some learn from an instructor, and some just talk about life. All of CW’s small groups are open to new members. If you are interested in joining one or would like more information, please let us know. The emails of the small group leaders are linked to the names. We’d love for you to share with us as we seek to follow and become more like Christ.

Gracie Boyce - Sundays at 7:00PM
Gracie is a senior of Wesley and will be leading a small group this coming year! Here is what she has to say, "This semester we are going to be discussing how to read the Bible with a full view of the historical context and author's intent so we can better understand how to apply it today. If you're like me and have sometimes struggled with reconciling the harsher stories in the Bible with our loving God, or if you just want to learn more about interpreting the Bible, this will be a great fit for you! We'll be using podcasts and short readings, along with the Bible itself, to build a better relationship with the text. I hope to see you there -- please reach out if you have any questions or want to know more!"
Ellie Hatcher and Matthew Price - Thursdays at 7:30PM
Two of Wesley's great seniors, Ellie and Matthew, will be leading a time of devotion this year in their small group. This small group is going to be focused on getting to know unfamiliar faces and stories throughout the Bible, while also looking into the faces that many of us already know. We hope to offer an opportunity for people to grow in their faith through discussion, community, and digging into the Bible. We believe that everyone will have the chance to learn something new, including ourselves.
Tyner Jiunnies - Tuesdays at 8:00PM
This bible study is an examination of some Christian films to attempt to shed some extra light on the biblical reading we will be doing. Meetings will start with a summation of the film, a short scripture reading, and then move into guided discussion. Basically, watch movies, read scripture, and then talk about how they intersect!.
Alana LeSuer and Jack Yeh - Tuesdays at 8:00PM
Alana and Jack look forward to sharing a time of fellowship and devotion throughout this school year. Here's what they had to say, "Our small group will be titled “Is God really saying that?” It will focus on unpacking and beginning discussion on various topics within life and the church. Each week we will highlight a topic and present the Scripture for and against the topic and put it in context. We will analyze the issues or misconceptions and look at the scripture through a broader and open minded lens.
Emma Simon - Mondays at 6:30PM
Emma’s small group will be reading the book The Universal Christ this semester which dives into the meaning of the word Christ and how it has evolved over time. If you’re looking for something to challenge the framework of your faith and get outside of your comfort zone this is the group for you!
